The saying goes, " Perfection is a divine attribute." This is really true as everything in life has advantages and disadvantages. This golden rule applies to the internet cafes - which are found everywhere in the developed and developing countries alike – for they have merits as well as demerits.
Cyber cafes provide the use of computers at a reasonable price, and for a wide range of users. Most cyber cafes provide an internet service as well as computer games. Computers at cyber cafes are often loaded with the latest games, and the hardware to support such intensive graphics, in order to attract gamers. Charges are highly reasonable. This, of course, attracts many gamers.
The most important advantage of cyber cafes is that you don't have to own a computer, or pay for your internet connections. I as well as most young people who go to the internet cafes make good use of the internet. We use it for our studies and for making friends in all countries through chatting. We also download songs, films, religious sermons, and so on.
On the other hand, there are many disadvantages to cyber cafes. They don't often provide the same level of comfort that one's home does. Therefore, staying at a cyber café for hours may have a bad effect on one's health.
There are many security risks when you log onto the internet at an internet café. There may be a key logger installed on the computer. The owner of the cafe may be monitoring your internet traffic. You are much more liable to ID theft. You have no control over what programs are on the machine.
